Micro Loft Los Angeles
We were asked to be challenged in design and furnish this tiny hotel-room-sized micro loft (380 sq/ft) in trendy Downtown Los Angeles with ultra low budget. First we were reluctant since we have only worked with standard budget to projects just over 1 million dollars. We took on the challenge and created expandable and shared spaces and zones in this open floor plan. For example, in the kitchen area the dining room table serves as an island, dining room table or an office desk or unstacked nightstands becomes a coffee table just off the bed and sofa lounge area. We also create strong focal points above the bed with owner's surfboard and use signature lighting just above the dining room table.
